Have been driving a 40TFSi for about 8 months and close to 4000 miles now. Find the performance more than adequate for “push-on” driving and the acceleration in Sport mode is excellent. OK, it’s not going to be as fast as a 45TFSi but as others have said would concentrate on the spec and settle for the 40TFSi.

Just a thought…..love the spec of my Edition 1 with leather seats, matrix headlights etc. Also have the C&S pack on mine. I think there’s a few very low mileage hardly used models around which might be worth considering

Thanks Perusal good to know, I initially wanted to buy used but because of the used car market being in so high demand opted to buy new.

The cost is the same maybe give or take £1000 max after discounts so no brainer, plus I have only seen a hand full of Q3s in glacier white with the C+S in the last few months which was the minimum requirement for me.

Just checked its £40,025 ROTR price with just 40 TFSI, C&S pack and glacier white metallic paint options alone. So thought I might aswell add on all the bits I like, also added on 19" x 7.0J '20-spoke V' design alloy wheels for £150, on top of all the other bits I mentioned above :D

Going to order it tomorrow!! Been told it should arrive Sept/Oct but possible delays due to chip shortage.
The 'V' style wheels are a pleasure to clean. I can get my wash mitt right inside the wheel to clean so they always look as new!😃 Happy driving(y)

Cheers mate, do you mean the wheels attached? I ordered these ones and I was thinking the opposite! They look difficult to clean the inside but I guess I'll find out :D

Sorry Pal, the type I was thinking of only have the 5 larger 'V' type spoke. Still, a good bottle brush will get in between one behind those!

Hey all,

I am going to order a Q3 next week after negotiating with the dealer for the last week. I keep changing my mind on what items to spec but at the moment looking at the 40 TFSI S Line with C+S, extended ambient lighting pack, spare wheel and driver assistance pack. I decided to add the driver assist pack after noticing the side/blind spot assist is no longer stand on Q3s on Audi's site.

My question considering many of you own the 45, do you think I should order the 45 TFSI engine instead and maybe drop the driver assist pack? It will mean around £1k extra cost. I currently own a 1.4 tsi Seat Leon that has 150bhp. I think the 40 will be plenty but don't want to regret it a few months into having it. I do plan on doing long motorway trips frequently so think the driver assist pack is worth it but cant keep both as it goes out of budget.

Thanks,
Hi I have the Q3 TFSI 30 2022 what I didn't realise is that the car is a mild hybrid, dealer didn't let me know, I don't think they knew! but it works quite well actually. But to the point, I also tried to get a spare wheel instead of the compressor rubbish, however the lithium battery is fitted in the boot and there's no room for the spare wheel. You should check with the dealer if yours will be the same. Good luck, lovely car by the way.

I'm just considering a used 2019/2020 Q3, I'm tempted to go for the 45 Tfsi rather than 40 Tfsi, I'd hate to later regret not getting the more powerful engine especially as my two most recent cars have been a Porsche Cayman 3.4S and a Q3 2.0 Tdi. Just wondering whether the OP has any regrets about not getting the 45 Tfsi.
Thanks.

Also consider an RSQ3 - a lot more power for the same or slightly better fuel economy (yes really) and a stupid grin when you drive it.
I did consider an RSQ3 several months ago, shortly before the incident with yours I think, but my insurers, LV, told me "we don't insure that sort of car", and to be honest the roads here in the south are too crowded to enjoy high performance cars however I do enjoy a car that drives briskly hence my thoughts of a 45 Tfsi.
