Dammit! I can't believe I have lived so long and never heard of such a tool. I now feel my life won't be complete until I get one.

Found what looks to be the same thing a quid cheaper: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171049791411
Beware Richard, some cheaper identical looking tools have thicker "straight" ends which are too big to actually enter a jet to clean blockages, or even worse bend easily and snap off, and the tapered end is the strong bit for adjusting aim of the jet.

Oh yes..........and your life WILL be complete with one of these tools

I know this is an old thread but one that keeps coming up so i thought I'd share my fix. The problem I had (apart from eyesight) was the reach. I made this simple tool, a STRONG sowing needle bound to a small screwdriver, although anything to create a long thin handle would work I guess. Keep the point short so it doesn't flex too much, (It needs to be bound tight for 70% of the length of the pin so it doesn't twist when you put pressure on the tip) insert it in the jet and GENTLY leaver the screwdriver/handle to point to where you think it should go. It took me a couple of goes to point where I wanted but worked a treat. I must stress a strong needle as to break it in the jet would be a disaster!

It's worth repeating a post that our favourite Greek Kostas-K mentioned some while ago. The superb mist-spray washer jets fitted to the Q7 are a straight replacement for the Mk I Q3's jets. Following this I and several others had them fitted and the result is superb - much better windscreen coverage and no mucking about trying to adjust them. Here's a copy/paste of his original post...

You can just try to find on internet jet nozzles with part numbers 4M0955987 and 4M0955988 which are from Q7, they have a spray pattern and easier to adjust, only adjust up/down. They are a direct replacement and are also heated as Q3's factory ones

Found them very cheap on Ebay if it helps, as you understand I have done it

I bought mine from the ever-helpful Tom Fox at Crewe Audi Parts and my local garage fitted them in minutes, not even bothering to charge me for fitting as it was so quick and easy. Well, well worth it! You'll need to check either with Tom (or perhaps Spike might be able to check) if the situation's the same with current-spec Q3s.

I think I might give them a go. (y)

Edit.
None in the UK on ebay. Need to call Tom.

Do they do a similar thing for the rear wash?

Edit 2.
I have now emailed Tom.

Good old Tom produced the goods.
A pair of Q7 misting washer heads arrived this morning. ÂŁ28 delivered.
Took me 5 minutes to fit them myself and the screen coverage (while stationary) is excellent.
Highly recommended upgrade so far.
