It stands for Technical Product Information. They are a catalog of technical bulletins to aid the Audi technicians in diagnostics and fixing problems. They are usually possible issues that dont warrant a recall but that Audi are aware exists.
Can this TPI list be accessed by the public?, if so where

Now that the Audi TPI 'fix' for front end vibration has been carried out the steering is noticeably stiffer than before the fix. Some Forum members have referred to this in previous posts and I wonder if the feel of the lighter steering ( which I much prefer), will return after the new wishbone bushes have worn in a bit.

Doubt that very much, sounds like the "feedback" through the electronic steering has been made heavier to reduce any effects of vibration after the bush change.

BB: I road-tested my Q3 before and after the TPI. When I drove it pre-TPI I was impressed that the steering was very light yet pretty responsive (I've (had) a Jaguar and (have) an SLK to compare it with), and after the TPI it was slightly heavier (only a little) but somehow, not so responsive (or is that 'feel'?). I felt that the slightest sneeze and I'd be in the ditch. Perhaps that is something to get used to. At least the 80 mph wheel-wobble is gone.

Well at least the wobble has gone, no doubt you will get used to the differing feel.
If you felt "the slightest sneeze and I'd be in the ditch" that sounds like it is too responsive or sensitive, it's what Rolls Royce used to call the "sneeze factor" in their steering (tongue in cheek of course), as the older RR used to have a responsiveness to the steering of a super tanker!

I have just started to notice a vibration at 80mph after 30K. The French motorways really showed it up. I had not noticed anything much before.Possibly the British motorway surfaces are too poor to make it that obvious and you tend to be above or below the vibration point due to the traffic flows, rather than sitting at 130kph hour after hour, which is possible in France.Audi have sorted the car under warrenty and I too have noticed the slightly stiffer steering - but am getting used to it. The work to the car was booked for two days and I got it finally back after a week....so its not as simple a fix as perhaps one might think!!

....no other work as far as I know......or they might admit! They did say Audi Germany were involved so something did not go to plan!

The difference is that you've got a diesel but the recognised fault is on the 1.4 petrol so you may have had a different problem.

I have had my Q3 on 19" wheels since November 2017. It is a 2.0TFSI but it does have S-tronic. I have had no vibration issues from anywhere. I hope that this helps.

Hi
There was a modification to rectify front end vibration, the lower front wishbone support bearing were changed, TPI 20333201/2 refers. I would have thought that this would have been carried out with it being a recent model, anyway it's probably worth mentioning it to your dealer.

I have just dropped my September 2017 Q3 2.0TDI Quattro 190 S-Tronic into the Audi Garage in Portsmouth. The vibrations have been getting steadily worse and starting at a lower speed (50mph) they tend to disappear by 70mph but this can't be right. Hopefully the fault will be diagnosed and I can respond with the outcome.

I've been at official Audi dealer, to try to solve the vibration problems. I have reported tpi 2033201/2 and your answer is that this solution does not exist for Q3. I'm scared Does anyone have documentation that I can provide to make a claim, and justify that I am right?
Thank you

My model is a 2.0 Tdi s-line 140 bhp. The problem arises during motorway driving at around 80 to 85 mpg. This is really frustrating I have had the tracking done twice and wheeps balanced twice in a month with little to no improvement. The car is under warranty so another trip to Audi. Apart from that the car is good and well built. Maybe should have kept my BMW. ?
On the other hand they wash it for me every visit.

It's possible the TPI does not apply to left hand drive vehicle, or if your car is fairly new the related parts may have been fitted in production

</font></font>Es posible que el TPI no se aplique al vehĂculo con volante a la izquierda, o si su auto es bastante nuevo, es posible que las piezas relacionadas se hayan instalado en producciĂłn.</font></font>
