PSA: Air filter is different to the Pollen/Cabin Filter.

Just learnt the difference! Having bought an air filter for the cabin, I assumed that there was only one, but they're two very different shapes!

The one in the cabin, secured by two screws is a Pollen Filter, and the one in the engine, secured by many more is the Air FIlter.

Judging by the state of the Cabin Filter, I'm wondering if I should have a look under the bonnet for the other one sharpish.

According to the service schedule the cabin filter gets replaced a lot more often than the engine air filter.
If I recall correctly the pollen filter gets changed every 2 years or 30000km
The Engine air filter more like every 55000km.
It will vary depending on model/year but it should show in your service book.
