MMI rebooting. Random messages pop up whilst driving.

Our 2021 A3 35e hybrid is riddled with similar issues. Been back into Portsmouth who tried everything from software updates to full factory software reinstallation. Seems to work for a while but then comes back worse than ever. We have the SOS fault in addition to more warning messages in a few months than I think I’ve ever had in my years driving. Vision warnings, Radar warnings, brake assist warnings, flat tyre warnings plus a random refusal to charge or ever open the charge port door in some occasions.
Currently back at Leeds Sytner, they’ve had it over a month and apparently there is a fix coming at the end of March. Funny that, so far we have had Sept’21, Dec’21, late Jan’22 and now late March’22.
So far we’ve had first compensation of £500 and just been advised of second compensation £350. Currently driving a model3 Tesla as a loan car that is two years old and not without its faults. Random emergency stops for no obvious reason!!

...but apart from that the car's OK? Strewth mate, I'm surprised you haven't already rejected the car - I certainly would have done. Audis - and the Q3 in particular - used to be pretty much bomb-proof but the current crop of electronics and other faults would be enough to drive me into the hands of JLR (well, perhaps not that far!).

I hope the latest software update actually cures the issues! Welcome to the club. :)
It’s not that easy. Firstly it’s a lease vehicle and there’s the contract. They have been great hence the Tesla we are running about in. Secondly, a replacement Audi is circa 9 months lead time away and thirdly, buying new faces a lengthy wait and used prices are ridiculous. Can’t walk away completely either as I drive a two seater and there are three of us.
In normal times I absolutely would have rejected it and got something else but can’t see an easy solution currently. It’s gone past 6 months but as both Audi and ourselves know, the fault has been there since delivery so my right of rejection is obviously extended hopefully.

Another really fed up Audi owner here! Got my 70 plate Audi A3 hybrid last October with 3500 miles on the clock, within 2 weeks had experienced the MMI reboot plus many of the other issues on two long drives. Earliest that the dealership (Leicester) could get it in was 7th January, Its been back 4 times since then for a supposed software reinstall (its back today for another) which partly solves the problem for a while but then they come back. Today they even tried to blame the faults on the towbar I had fitted last week by a truly professional mechanic (with Audi electrics! ). As a car I love the hybrid A3 but as an organisation, Audi truly are abysmal for customer service.
Welcome to the club. Not had my Hybrid since 1st Feb, gave it back to my lease company essentially rejecting the car until fixed. Been driving a Tesla3 since. Audi promised me fix after fix after it arrived brand new in July with the faults present from day 1. Believe the actual fix has gone on recently but still waiting for car to be returned.

Driving a tesla3 at their expense I might add. Received around £1500 compensation from Audi so far by way of apology. Don’t let them get away with it.

Now 25th May. The car is still not fixed as the latest software caused battery issues apparently.
New fix date unknown. ÂŁ470 additional insurance cost now covered by Audi and been offered ÂŁ200 per month for each month car not fixed as compensation.
What an utter shambles, don’t know what to do. Car been faulty almost a year as delivered July’21

You have given the dealer/Audi every opportunity to resolve the issue(s). Under the sales of goods act get the leasing company to reject it. Then you go and find another new car maybe from a different manufacturer. Stop wasting useful energy and take control of the situation. Anyway, its an A3 hybrid. This site is only for Q3's or RSQ3's.
Same platform with same MMI, just sharing the info for people in a similar situation whilst searching for info myself. Know of many new cars available do you, which is why rejecting it is so tricky. The new lease prices are 50% higher than ours with months to wait for delivery.
