Coolant Level & Replacement Schedule

My Q2 is approaching 5 years old and I noticed that my coolant level has dropped just below the minimal line. As the Q3 and Q2 have some similarities I thought I'd ask here.

I don't check it that regularly, and it's always been towards the low marker. However, I think I should give it a top up.

Questions:

The manual states: "Add coolant in the correct concentration up to the top mark". Is that to the 'max' or 'min' mark, I think on here people normally say it should be around the minimal marker when the engine is stone cold?

Do I need to replenish the coolant from time to time? I was going to buy some of this TRIPLE QX Purple (G13) (Ready Mixed) Antifreeze/Coolant 1Ltr | Euro Car Parts but I noticed it says "can be left in the system as a coolant and rust inhibitor for up to a maximum of 5 years" so should the whole coolant be flushed anyway as part of it's upcoming service?

Many thanks!

It will be interesting to hear what your dealer say about changing it - I asked my local dealer and they said it never needed to be changed! Probably because there is nothing in the service plan to change it.

In saying that, I need to change the thermostat on my car which requires the fluid to be drained, so will change the coolant at the same time. The other opportunity is when the cambelt and waterpump get changed (which is recommended at 5 years for Q3s depending on engine model)
