The symbol is a yellow circle with dashes around it, I believe it's the pad wear warning (see brake pad monitoring symbol attached)

However, the wording is brake pedal, which, I'm not sure whether that refers to the pads or not?

Problem solved.

The brake pedal wording has now changed to a brake pads warning.

I've had the pads checked and they need replacing.

Why it states brake pedal in the first instance, I don't know.
