From the flag on your profile you are in Spain?

You need to be aware that the delivered specification of an Audi vehicle is determined by the country importer. So the fact that here in the UK market the vehicles are delivered with Apple Carplay as standard does NOT mean the vehicles built for the Spanish market will have the same configuration as found here. The Audi importer organisation in Spain (not a dealer) should be able to tell you if CarPlay was included.

Ahhh I understand.

Audi have a capability known as 'Function on Demand' that is actually built into the MyAudi App (but aside from the renewals for 'Connect' for F3 Q3 doesn't include anything else that I'm aware of).

Function on Demand gives Audi the ability to retrofit some options simply by enabling software - the software needed to enable this is encrypted with a digital key, it was introduced for the Q7 based Etron initially.

700 of whatever currency is a lot - perhaps the Audi dealer can hook the Q3 up to the Audi AG systems in Germany and get the s/w updated that way. On OBD Eleven I can only see the enabling Wireless CarPlay on MIB3...if you haven't got the s/w anyway that won't be much use.

Have a look at this 2020 Audi Self Study Program document - albeit this is MIB2+ - on page 85 it lists the different types of systems - some don't have SatNav... Yours is probably one of those - here in UK we have the one on the right as Standard.
