4 Days into getting my new car, and the tyre pressure monitor suggests the offside rear is soft.
No visible loss of pressure, and when checked it was at 35psi. I pumped it up to 40psi and still the warning comes up.
I understand it has to be reset somewhere, but I couldn't find it in any settings.

When I do find it - eventually, maybe with help, do I put in the tyre pressures, or does it record the current pressure and have parameters of loss of x amount before it reports?

If the latter, should I then set them a little low, reset the tyre pressure monitor, then pump them up to the correct pressure, thus giving a bit more leeway, allowing for pressure drop in cold weather?

All suggestions welcome.

My car is a 2012 and does not have TPMS enabled, but this article may help - says it includes models up to 2020:

You have to re-set via the MMI. It's in the handbook. From memory you do it stationary, ignition on, engine stopped.
