Just got our Q3 (170hp PetrolS-Tronic) ..great car but noticed the climate control unit behaving a little strangely. E.g. with fan directing air to the dash vents and then turning on A/C manually, dampers seem to shut off completely .... Anyone seen anything like this behaviour before I take it back to the dealer?

I quess you need to select the preferred nozzles manually. You can do it by using the buttons on the right hand side (see the AC control unit picture below):

Yeah..did all that.Took the car to the dealer who acknowledged there is a problem although the diagnostics did not show any faults with the A/C, controller or damper motors / position sensor. They need to do more tests of refrigerant pressures etc (not sure how this could cause the faults). So will just have to wait and see where it goes from here.Anyone else experienced any issues with the climate control control unit ?

Problem solved. It seems that a control rod actuating the head height dampers was dislodged and occasionally jamming the vent damper.Seems like a one off due to poor assembly. Spanish workmanship.
