Hi
We picked up our Audi Q3 several weeks ago, and have noticed that indication of rust is showing, clearly visible through the spokes of the alloy.
Is this normal? Should we contact our dealer...?
Some rust is normal on the brake discs as the heat cycle that they go through will make them more likely to rust.If your not happy with them then let your dealer have a look at them.
This is perfectly normal and common to all cars. Audi have in fact built in a "cleaning cycle" on the Q3 whereby it occasionally applies the brakes VERY lightly and imperceptibly to clean the discs whilst on the move.
The style of wheel chosen does make this more visible - my wife's Volvo C30 looks really bad as the hubs/discs are clearly visible through the wheels.
Luckily, with Caribou Brown, it just makes a nice matching colour for the wheels
