I considered fitting them to protect the sides of my Q3 but decided against it when I realised that the worst culprits were drivers/passengers of bloody great 4x4s (Range Rovers/Land Rovers/Toyota HiAces etc.) whose doors would be too high for the Q3 running boards to stop.
They do come with instructions but you need full access under the car.
I thought it would be straightforward but in the end contacted them to see if they would fit them for me.
They took almost 40 mins to fit each one and that was with a car ramp that they could move the car up and down and also an experienced fitter.
Watching the fitting I would advise against trying to fit yourself.
Yes you can, now available from Audi dealership but you need a mortgage for them £1000 plus which is a joke and at that they state that you cannot stand on them, waht's the point?
Not yet, I don't get my new Q3 until Sept 1st but the Audi dealership is a joke with accessory prices, you can do far far better with aftermarket specialists, theirs can take 15kg also. See the photos they look very good.
Looking forward to it, 177D auto quick enough nowadays as you rightly say, the paddle shift makes it every bit as good as the manual with instant gear changes.
Got the beast now, wonderful BUT!!!!! 50 miles done and transmission fails !!! only selecting 2 4 and 6, they took it back and re-programmed transmission software, all good now but they were very embarrassed.
