Hi all, sad news... took the Q3 to Cornwall and had a great drive there and back.

Took the roof bars off this morning and found that the roof rail had been damaged.

Anyone know if these can be refurbished as apposed to he £900 Audi want to replace it...

No but they were designed to fit a Q3 and had positive reviews.

Damage is done now so looking for advice on a fix not so much the cause.

I have just bought a set of roof bars. I was tempted by the various aftermarket products (sliding ones, increased security, lower bar-to-roof height), but at the end of the day I decided OEM was best as all things Audi are usually quality through and through. As I recently posted in another thread, Wolverhampton Audi are retailing the bars at a discounted £164.99 (on flea-bay), as opposed to the £210.00 RRP -they alsoinclude free delivery.

I may be totally on the wrong track here, but my only thought is can one of those companies that specialise in alloy wheel repairs do anything for you? They polish out scuffs on wheels, so might be a long shot....
