Q3 Winter wheel / tyres
hello can anyone explain why Audi list the winter wheels / tyresin the Accessories brochureas RIGHT and LEFT options ???
Does this mean the wheel / tyres are dedicated 2 to each side of the car? If so what is the reason ?
Thanks

Maybe the tyres come already on the wheels, therefore, if the tyres are directional you'll need them sided.

Dear Sherbs
Absolutely right. I should have thought more about it and before seeing your appreciated response, realised thatthe reason is the tyres must beAssymetricaltype and therefore directional.
Thanks for confirmation.

asymetric and directional are different. directional must roate one way where asymetric has an inside and outside, i.e. the tread near the engine side differs from that on the kerb side or road side. once asymetric tyres are put on a wheel they can be fitted either side on a car. Of course if you have unidirectional tyres, it won't matter. A good web site is the one below.
