</font>Morning All<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

</font>I believe this package includes a 12v socket in the
boot that is mounted on the bottom surface of the removable panel on the left
hand side of the vehicle as viewed from the back.

</font>I'd like to fit a socket and after removing the
panel have found a pre-installed and not used connector on the wiring loom
which I'm hoping might be for the socket.

</font>

</font>If you have this package a photo of the wiring the
12v socket plugs into would be much appreciated, or a description of the number
of wires and colours (on the wiring loom side of any connector) would be great.

</font>

</font>Many thanks

Have a look at page 59 of the Q3 brochure, this shows the additional light on the lefthand side but no power socket, this makes me think it is probably on the right.

Hi Del. This was the picture I was looking at. If you zoom in andonto the little cargo net there does look to be a black disc (lighter socket?) mounted on the bottom horizontal surface behind the net. Perhaps it's just wishfull thinking.

Mark...I don't have the option but it is in the base of the netted secition on the LH side as you thought....have seen it on a vehicle. The option also adds extra light on upper section opposite side to std light.Cheers

Hi Mark67

The two 12V connector cables are brown / red with silver stripe
There is also a spare connector with green / red / red with white stripe cables
Hope this helps but looks like the 'spare' is just that I'm afraid ....

Hi ExiledtaffThank you very much for your time and effort in taking the photos, it is very much appreciated.Yep it looks like it is just a spare. I've just checked and it contains the same colour wires you have seen. It also looks like from your first pic that the side cover is specially molded to take the 12v socket, which is good to see as it makes paying money for these optional extras more worthwhile. I guess I'll just have to give it some thought and see which wires I could tap into get some power out back. I'll post my results here if I do.Thank you once again.Mark
