Hi Everyone

My 62 plate Q3 quattro is having some issues, last weekend as I turned into a car park I heard a loud bang which turned out to be a flat tyre.

I managed to get it home and have since had the tyre replaced on the drive but the banging is still there, each time I try and drive it there are really really loud banging and metal clanking sounds when turning the steering.

I have it booked in for next week but my local Audi garage is a 20 min drive away and it doesn't feel safe to drive.

Does anyone have any ideas what it could be?

Thank you

Could be a broken front coil spring. Often it's only a half coil which breaks off and it may not be too obvious
Was it a front puncture, possibly related to hitting a pothole

I would also get the front strut checked out. A few years ago I hit a pothole which took out the tyre, wheel and front strut. I managed to claim all my costs from the local council but I had to have pictures. If it is pothole damage then you might need to go back to get pictures.
