Hello !!
I just ordered a Q3 S-Line 177 TDi today. I look forward to asking lots of questions about it on here :) Having used the Scoobynet, Cliosport.net, Seatcupra.net and other car forums in the past I understand the value of the members and the information, so thanks in advance !!!

Hi and welcome to the forum! Ask away.

Don't forget to add the spec. to your signature so that we know what you're getting, and some pics when it arrives will be nice.

Hello everyone,

I ordered my Q3 on Friday for a December delivery! I've never had a car built for me so as many of you will understand I am as giddy as a giddy thing! Is it normal to have such a delay? It obviously can't come soon enough for me. Great to have an owners club to share my excitement with. Speak soon, no doubt.

Congrats and welcome to the forum! There's nothing - absolutely nothing - quite like the thrill of ordering what is essentially a bespoke car....

...except perhaps the thrill of collecting it and driving it away.

The build time sounds just a bit long to me - 2.5 to 3 months seems to be the average - but demand could have increased since I had mine. It'll be worth the wait, anyway!

We ordered ours towards the beginning of July. Dealers said expect November delivery, but the latest is that it should be with the dealer around mid-October - so yours may turn up a bit earlier than promised :) We'd only bought new cars that were already with the dealer before, so this long wait is a bit like pregnancy :) :) Not quite as bad for us as we hadn't really intended buying until the New Year :)

Gromit and Bambi, thank you for your reassurances, the dealer did say that it was the worst case scenario, so I am just casually sitting here, counting down the hours!!The expectant parent analogy is spot on, although a child is considerably more expensive but definitely appreciates in value!! I'm not sure how long I can keep it all together, the wait is killing me already! I was told that they are manufactured in Spain and then shipped to Germany before being shipped to the UK! Go figure? No doubt I will be on again in the future. Thanks again everyone.

Hello, I'm a newbie too and also waiting for my latest pride and joy to be built... I ordered mine on 24 th July and was told that delivery would be in October. I went back to the dealers yesterday to change the spec and was told that was fine as no date was allocated as yet but that by adding to the order it may drop into a slot - lets hope so. I can't blummin wait!!!

normal delivery use thetailgate
