I bought my Q3 S line new in September and the hubs that the disc brakes attach to are badly rusted already. Audi say this is normal, does anyone else have the same problem

Yes I have the same problem and was going to mention it to the dealer when I get my winter tyres changed at the end of March. I think they look really bad and I am not pleased at all. I have had a quick look on the internet and it seems to be a fairly common problem with some cars.

It's a common issue with a lot of cars, had it on my last BM and was told it was one of those things. If you complain loudly and make a fussI'msure they will give it a paint. Not got it on my car as yet however.
I have the 17's standard alloys so maybe it's not sonoticeable.

Mines the same.I was going to wait until the weather warms up and paint the visible part of the hub. Might even take the opportunity to paint the calipers, as they're looking a little tired also. You can get specialist HT paint for brake calipers, but lots of people swear by hammerite. With the trend to more open Aloy wheel designs, more of the hub and caliper assembly is visible than used to be the case.

Audi Glasgow have painted the hubs but have quite clearly stated that this was not covered under warranty, but did it as a goodwill gesture
