Hello all,
Got my Q3 on Saturday, lovely car, shiny white :)
For those who know about cars (hey, I'm a girl, all I know is it's big and shiny and white ;) ) my OH reliably informs me it's 2.0 TDI 177, S-Line S-Tronic... brand new, has tech pack, comfort pack, heated seats, leccy mirrors, some other stuff, and pretty LEDs in the footwells and doors ;)
Have already been reading with interest, especially about the mod thingy that makes the mirrors fold on their own when you lock the doors, think I might have to invest in that ;)
Also been recommended Alloygators by the salesman, he reckons they're the nuts for not kerbing your alloys (no idea why he thinks I'd be interested in that!!!)... anyone tried them any good?
In all seriousness, I'm not a complete airhead (honest!) and do know a bit about cars, my OH is a petrol head who drives a Mini Cooper Works GP2, my other car is a Ltd Ed Gen 6 Celica SR, and we track on a regular basis ;)
Nice to meet you all :D

Thanks Casey, I'll get some up sometime soon.
Long story short, we were going to order new, but didn't like the February/March delivery date they gave us, apparently this one had been ordered for a customer who had pulled out/disappeared/not sure, so it was pre-reg.
Not exactly what I would have chosen, I wouldn't have had white (although it's the pearl, so quite nice), nor would I have gone for nappa interior or full tech pack, but it has pretty much everything else I wanted, I could drive it away within a week, and the Dealers gave me a great deal on the price, so too good to pass up really :)

Hi, and welcome to the forum! Looks like a good deal you've got there.

Alloygators are a great idea if you're running oh-sh*t-big wheels and skinny tyres, providing you have them professionally fitted. The current Mk II version is a vast improvement on the original spec. which did have a nasty habit of coming off occasionally.

I don't use them myself - I have the standard 17" "kerb-proof" wheels - but Auto Express seem to be impressed...

Love your sig, by the way - I see you've got all the technical jargon off pat...

Hahaha, Cheers Gromit, I like to get things right off the bat

I'm still not 100% sure about the Alloygators, I don't have rubber band tyres and contrary to my OH's belief, I can park pretty well
But knowing my luck.....!!!!
There's a place not far from me that'll supply and fit for £100 inc VAT, sounds like a fair deal to me, so I'm considering that now. Also looking at getting th auto foldy ears done, just need to find a place not a million miles away that can plug in and do the necessary, I really don't know why Audi don't have that as standard, not like we don't pay enough!

Didn't think they would be as the tyres extend a fair bit out beyond the rims, but it's good to hear it confirmed... thanks puddy :)

Actually we got the lifeshine thrown in and 7 days free insurance due to the fact that a good friend of ours used to work there and negotiated for us ;) and rather than trust them, he's doing the life shining this weekend so we'll know it's done properly :D but thanks, very good points to consider!

There's a pic up in the gallery already - just look for Audrey :D
