Well that wasn't the call we wanted. Dealer just rang to say car is all ready for collection BUT the dvla have dated the tax disc from the 18th!

Which means they can not let us have our car :-(

Dealer has offered to bring it to us tomorrow morning but we quite fancy the drive home.

Going to see if they can lend us a car until tomorrow as we are now without a car.

Grrrrrrr!!!

You could ask the dealer who fed the data into the DVLA systems !!
The date of first registration is completed by the dealer.
You may not even get a tax disc anyway as it is now produced centrally and you don't physically need it to drive away. The new system is that a completed tax disc can get posted to you or the dealer, they don't keep blank stock at dealers anymore.

Well a completed tax disc arrived this morning with the wrong date on apparently.

They have all the paperwork which says 17th which I can see. They are being very helpful and upfront. It's just one of those things. It's only another day.
