Had my Q3 less than a week. Went to go out in it this morning and it wouldn't start. Tried several times then a message came up saying battery being discharged. Tried it again and it started.Looked in handbook and can't find what that means. Started fine since. Had anyone got any ideas what happened?

I think the battery is being discharged message just means you have the door open and your key is still in the ignition and possible in position 1

It could be simply that the battery is in fact low on charge. New car batteries are rarely fully charged and they often discharge during PDI/showroom activities, long periods with the ignition on or the door open whilst familiarising ones self with the gizmos during the hand-over, etc. It should be fine after a long drive or two, but if in doubt drop in to the nearest Audi dealership and have the battery charge level checked before assuming there's a real problem.
