I'm following a Topic on Motor Talk (Germany) and there are many Q3 Owners having problems with the boot-cover. It keeps falling off. Recognize this?

No problems either - have removed and replaced them with no breaks

One of the Users of Motor Talk has (Home)made a better solution for this prpb. Audi is thinking of giving the Q3 a cover like the A4 Avant etc. has. But that would be refused by the owners: to large, uncomfortable to use etc.
Perhaps later more...

Hopefully not..

The current concept is better BUT is should be refined a bit:
- both covers are too long to be stored in the car conveniently
- the main cover should have same kind of opening mechanism as the new q5 has

I did not find or got a photo of the Part i'm Posting about, but translated from German (by Google) its:

"The cover is so placed in the middle with 2 pins and outside each case with a "clip" attached. These clips hold just not as hard as I also impressions. Apparently the outer rubber holder on the cover is worn out.?

I have some Info for you about this 'Problem'.
In case it's happening to your Q3 (above mentioned problem), the Audi solution is Part number 8N8898173A. It's the same as used for the Audi TT(#8)
