Hi all,
Just been doing a scan using OBDEleven and the following fault came up.

Car: Audi Q3
Year: 2014
Body type: SUV
Engine: CFGC 130 kW (177 HP) 2.0 l
Mileage: 95220 KM

---------------------------------------------------------------
08 Air Conditioning

Software number: 8U0820043E
Software version: 0100
Hardware number: 8U0820043E
Hardware version: H04
Serial number: 8U0820043E

Trouble codes:
01592 - Air quality sensor Faulty
Intermittent
Priority: 3
Frequency counter: 4
Driving cycle: 224

Ive never had the air quality sensor go. Can someone tell me if its easy to replace please? A quick search on the internet quotes the part at around £70
Anyone else had this issue and whether it can just be 'cleaned' or something?
Many thanks.

Audi call it the G238 sensor and it's used to monitor stuff like exhaust fumes entering the cabin. Failure seems to be quite rare and cleaning limited to a soft brush or a blast of air - definitely no solvents.
It's located in the scuttle at the bottom of the windscreen

Cheers Spike

Thank you Spike. Its good to know that your still rattling around this forum.:)
Have you had any experience taking the plenum chamber cover off? It looks like Im going to need to remove the windscreen wipers to take the plenum chamber cover off.

Not done the job myself but PeteUK provided some useful tips in this thread -
